Cold Nights and Mexican Hot Chocolate
It’s been crazy cold out this week with temperatures in the single digits at night. (As I type, it’s only seven degrees in State College, PA and it’s not even 10pm!) So, single digit temperatures require hot chocolate. But not just any hot chocolate. Super awesome hot chocolate.

A few weeks ago, I emailed the editor-in-chief at TheBlaze.com (Glenn Beck’s website). I knew my pillow tag red tape issue would be a story that his readers would appreciate. He passed my story on to a reporter (Becket Adams) and it went live on Tuesday, August 7, 2012. It has been an insane 24 hours for me! The IndieGoGo campaign is almost fully funded, a major university contacted me about writing them a rap about government regulation and red tape, and I’m scheduled to be on Fox and Friends on Saturday...

I’ve seen smaller pillows before, but none that are actually adjustable. I know my belly certainly wasn’t “one size fits all!” It grew and grew until my baby finally arrived. A few things were really important to me when I was working on the protypes of BellyRest. Being pregnant is awesome, except for the part when you get into bed and try to go to sleep. I spent most of my evenings rolling back and forth, jamming pillows under my belly, waking up to pee (then walking down a flight of stairs, through the dining room, through the kitchen, around the corner into the bathroom, the made the return trip.) I would lay back down, try to fall back asleep, and now baby would be awake and start rolling around like crazy, then came the roundhouse kick to the bladder, I’d have to pee again and down the stairs I...

I’m finally launching my campaign to raise money to pay for pillow tags. It’s a long story… I was ready to start selling pillows on Amazon several months ago when I learned about the pillow tag laws. 14 states require tags on pillows. The annual fees I have to pay to those states ranges from $5 to $750 per year. It ends up being $4,460 for the first year, just to be allowed to sell a pillow online. I got together with some friends, wrote a rap, recorded a music video, and I’m launching a campaign on IndieGoGo...
